New calendar for the cup organized by Toyota Spain, Toyota Caetano Portugal and MSi, with four new races.

After the success experienced in 2023, where the record number of entries was beaten by reaching 16 participants and in which the fight for the title was open until the last rally, the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup will have major new features in 2024.

Some of these are in a calendar that will again include four races in Portugal and another four in Spain. Gravel and tarmac will once again play an equal role, a feature that makes the single-brand cup organized by Toyota Spain, Toyota Caetano Portugal and MSi a reference, both for younger drivers who want to advance in their sporting careers, and for those who want to continue enjoying rallying with a high-performance four-wheel drive car such as the Toyota GR Yaris RZ Cup.

The year will begin with the Serras de Fafe Rally, which will is scheduled for February 23 and 24 and has become one of the most emblematic events of the season, as it always attracts a great number of fans due to the spectacular nature of its special gravel stages.

In Spain, fans will have to wait until the first week of April to enjoy the performance of the Toyota GR Yaris of the TGR Iberian Cup. As a novelty, for the first time, the Cup drivers will be competing on tarmac in the Sierra Morena International Rally (April 6-7). Then there will be two consecutive visits to Portugal, with the Terras Aboboreira Rally (April 26-27), which will be run on gravel, and the Lisbon Rally (June 6-8), in which tarmac will once again be the protagonist.

This will bring us to the equator of the season and three consecutive rallies in Spain. The Rally Rías Baixas (5-6 July) and the Villa de Llanes (20-21 September), both on gravel, will be two new events in the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup calendar, while the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada (19-20 October) will be back on the calendar after being absent in 2023, although it will be on gravel instead of tarmac, as was the case in 2022.

In 2024 the final party will be held in Portugal with the last novelty of the calendar, as the Murça Rally (17-18 November) will take place for the first time. This year's event will be of particular interest, as it will have a 1.5 coefficient, i.e., both the points that will be given at the end of the rally and those that the winners of the sections will receive will have a special value, something that could leave the general classification of the Cup open with the GR Yaris until the last kilometers of the event.

In addition to the new calendar, there will be improvements in the 2024 prizes. In this context, the main novelty is that the winner of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup will have the chance to compete in a rally in 2025 with the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, with which Toyota will officially participate in 2024. This prize is added to the 27,500 euros awarded at each race and the 64,000 euros shared by the top three overall classification finishers at the end of the year. In addition, the best Junior driver (under 24 years old), the first Senior driver (over 54 years old), the best female driver and the best co-driver (this last prize, another novelty for 2024) will receive a check for 3,000 euros, cumulative to the already mentioned amounts. Additionally, all drivers participating in the eight rounds of the calendar will also receive a grant of 1,500 euros.

For the first time, the events of the single-brand cup held in Spain and organized by Toyota Spain, Toyota Caetano Portugal and MSi will go hand in hand with the Spanish Rally Superchampionship, which will be a great incentive for all the participating teams.
