9 teams registered in the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup will take part in this event with the GR Yaris RZ Cup.

The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup will be heading this weekend to Marinha Grande, in the heart of Portugal, to take part on October 7 and 8 in one of the most emblematic rallies on tarmac of the Portuguese country, where, among others, the special stage in the forests of São Pedro de Moel, so much liked by drivers and spectators, will be held again.

The Rallye Vidreiro Centro De Portugal Marinha Grande 2022 has 9 timed stages and comes in with some changes this year. First of all, the return to São Pedro de Moel, with three passes, and also a new layout for the super special stage on Friday night, totally new and redesigned right next to the Marinha Grande Municipal Stadium and very close to the rally's service park, which will ease the public's access to these 1,600 meters of the route. In total, the 9 stages and 107 timed kilometers.

The Rally Vidreiro 2022 is a challenging race, full of fast sections and sometimes very narrow tarmac roads, which will put drivers and machines to the test. The return to the mythical São Pedro de Moel special stage, which will also be the Power Stage that will close the rally, has generated great expectation in all the participants.

Ricardo Costa (Macedo & Macedo GTW Racing) will have to work hard to defend his 18-point lead in the overall classification of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian CUp against Miguel Campos (Inside Motor), who will try to leverage his greater experience in this rally in which he has already competed in several editions and is currently in second place.

Fran Cima (Asturhíbrido), Daniel Berdomás (Grupo Breogán) and Sergi Francolí (CSM Automoció) come next in the general classification. Although, in principle, the Spanish drivers may have some disadvantage in terms of knowledge of the rally, in the previous event, held in Asturias, they were the ones who took the podium, demonstrating that on tarmac they can fight hard for the victory. Germán Gómez Fortes (CSM Automoció) completes the batch of Spaniards in the one-make cup organized by Toyota Spain and Toyota Caetano Portugal with the support of Motor & Sport Institute (MSI), and will surely want to score points to move up in the classification.

As for the other participants, the Portuguese Victor Calisto (Inside Motor) and Kevin Saraiva (KRS) repeat in the group of the nine teams that will compete for victory in the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup. It is also worth mentioning the debut of Marco Pereira (Caetano Auto), who joins the cup with the Toyota GR Yaris RZ.
